Arts to Grow Identity and Web Site Launched
February 2007

Art education plays a crucial role in the education of every child. Unfortunately not every child has access to it. Arts to Grow attempts to close this gap by bringing the arts to the schools, offering programs including painting, sculpture, theater, among others.

Designlounge offered its services and creativity on a pro-bono basis recognizing the need to support the great efforts of Mallory King, the founder of Arts to Grow. The work included the development of a new identity, stationery system as well the web site. Jaron Rubenstein, president of Rubenstein Technology, and his team provided the time to develop the site and powered it with their proprietary software Ruby, a highly flexible content management system. Designlounge Continues Work with StoryCorps in 2007.
January 2007

In 2006, Designlounge began its working relationship with StoryCorps, a not-for-profit organization that instructs and inspires people to record one another's stories in sound, resulting in an oral history of America.

For the last 3 months we have supported StoryCorps with the most immediate graphic design and communication needs including brochures, out-door and vehicle graphics, and many others. At the same time, a re-branding phase has begun that will change the way StoryCorps will present itself to the public. The next phase of communication materials are part of an integrated campaign touching on all aspects of StoryCorps. It will include most printed communications, the web site, as well as a different, bolder approach to the outside design of the most visible elements of StoryCorps: the recording trailer booths that travel from city to city, and the stationary booths in New York and other cities. Our strategic partner, ClearAgenda is responsible for providing StoryCorps with the guidance and framework for this strategic move, supported by Designlounge's design expertise.
