New Projects / New Engagements
November 2010

This has been a good year for Designlounge with many new and interesting projects that have come into our studio. Among others we have created a full suite of conference publications for Women Deliver (see below or here in our portfolio), a new report on revenue transparency for Revenue Watch Institute, and the second book in the series of publications for Mount Sinai Medical Center highlighting the school's graduate education.

For the fifth time the International Center for Transitional Justice has asked Designlounge to create the new annual report which will be printed and published by the end of this year. By then we will also have completed various other projects, among them a complete rebranding for a financial institution that includes the identity, brochure, fact sheets and website. Stay tuned.

Women Deliver

In June of 2010, Women Deliver, an advocacy organization calling for action against maternal death, invited world leaders to its 2nd global conference in Washington, DC. Designlounge worked with the Women Deliver team to develop the conference publications consisting of a 164-page conference program as well as two accompanying brochures. The 3-day conference, which was broadcast live over the internet, was a huge success. See the project here.

Revenue Watch Institute

Designlounge worked with the Revenue Watch Institute (RWI) to develop their first capabilities report. RWI, an independent, globally operating organization, originally founded at the Open Society Institute, promotes the effective, transparent and accountable management of oil, gas and mineral resources for the public good. Other New And Completed Projects

Disability History Museum

The Disability History Museum is an online experience that allows a user to search a database of thousands of digital artifacts that document disabilities from blindness and deafness to many forms of physical disabilities. An educational section provides tools for teachers to bring the history of disabilities into the classroom. The organization's mission is to foster a deeper understanding about how changing cultural values, notions of identity, laws and policies have shaped and influenced the experience of people with disabilities, their families and their communities over time. Designlounge first redesigned the logo and stationery system and then designed the new website. The site will launch in April 2010.

Mount Sinai Medical Center

Designlounge worked with the communications team at Mount Sinai Medical Center to create the Medical Education publication. The publication describes the medical education at this prestigious school where students are able to integrate basic and advanced science education with the realities of patient care. We are now working again with Mount Sinai to produce the next publication in the series "Accelerating Science / Advancing Medicine."
