Designlounge has supported this globally operating human rights organization
on several projects over the last 4 years (including annual reports and other materials),
and was asked to create the new website. The project started with a comprehensive and
very detailed look at the site organization with the purpose of creating a solid framework
that can dynamically present and store a large amount of different types of content,
links and images.
The site is set to provide all content in 4 different languages, and is optimized to function
properly in areas of the world where access to internet connection have not reached
appropriate speeds. Yet the website engages the users to access a wealth of information and
distinguishes itself from other organizations through design and efficient functionality.
The design adheres to the corporate standards and integrates with other materials.
Comprehensive and detailed maps and allow users to drill down into the content in
a straightforward and easy manner.
On the back-end the website is controlled by a content management system (CMS) that
was developed by our technology partner Rubenstein Technology Group in Brooklyn, New York.
This flexible system can handle large amounts of content at any time. This
feature is crucial as the site needs to be updated often based on events occurring across
the world.
